Job Description

Can you drive aftermarket growth and want to fast-track your career in Aerospace?


RPS has partnered with a premier Aerospace machining firm, renowned for housing one of California's largest machine shops. They are looking for the next Aftermarket Manager to join their site in Northern Orange County. Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Aftermarket Manager will lead and support territory sales representatives within a set region while driving aftermarket growth.


This role is responsible for strategic planning, forecasting, and reporting on all aftermarket activities to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.


What is on offer:

  • Salary - $100-140k – DOE
  • Career progression – progression to Business Unit Manager in 12-18 months – (progression path to VP)


The Aftermarket Manager's Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all distribution activities, including backlog management, order processing, POS tracking, gap analysis, forecasting, and pricing strategy.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations for customers, company leadership, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Achieve or exceed sales and booking targets, and support sales representatives as needed.
  • Create and present annual sales and bookings forecasts.
  • Monitor competitors and industry trends to inform strategy.
  • Develop and execute a regional business plan to support company growth objectives.
  • Travel domestically and internationally (25-30%) as required.


Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, technical discipline preferred. MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in successful distribution management.
  • Knowledge of aerospace and defense product lines is preferred but not essential.
  • 3+ years’ experience in data analysis – proficiency in Excel – Pivot tables etc.
