Job Summary

The Vice President of Customer Sales will be a key member of our executive team, responsible for overseeing and driving the company’s sales strategy, fostering customer relationships, and scaling revenue growth. This role requires a dynamic leader with deep industry expertise, a proven track record in freight brokerage sales, and the ability to inspire and manage high-performing sales teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy Development : Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
  • Team Leadership : Build, mentor, and lead a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and success.
  • Customer Acquisition : Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities, focusing on high-value customers.
  • Relationship Management : Strengthen and maintain relationships with key accounts, ensuring exceptional service and retention.
  • Market Insights : Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive dynamics to adjust strategies proactively.
  • Performance Metrics : Establish and track sales KPIs, analyzing performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaboration : Partner with operations, technology, and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery and profitability.
  • Innovation : Leverage technology and new approaches to optimize sales processes and improve customer experience.


Qualifications

  • Experience : 8+ years of progressive experience in freight brokerage or logistics sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven Success : Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and driving team performance.
  • Leadership Skills : Strong ability to lead, inspire, and manage diverse sales teams in a high-growth environment.
  • Industry Knowledge : In-depth understanding of the freight brokerage industry, including market dynamics and pricing strategies.
  • Communication : Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability : Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
