A Sales Engineer/Area Sales Representative is required to join an automation distributor and installer based in Orlando.

The successful Sales Representative/ Sales Engineer will be responsible for new business development and developing sales within the territory by visiting company sites weekly.

This opportunity is a great opportunity for someone early in sales looking to step up, an experienced Sales Representative or who has experience as a Technician, Engineer or Project Manager with an interest in sales.

Sales Engineer/Area Sales Manager Role:

• Grow business across all market segments by regularly engaging with assigned customers.
• Maintain active communication and relationships with in-house personnel and buying influences.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to expand territory interactions.
• Identify and develop new customers and sales opportunities.
• Partner with customers to understand project specifications and ensure proposals meet requirements.
• Recommend adjustments to sales strategies/tactics based on evaluations.
• Negotiate orders, including technical, commercial, and legal details.

Sales Engineer/Area Sales Manager Requirements:

• Must be commutable to Orlando
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas, concepts, and solutions professionally.
• A background as a Sales Representative, Service Technician or Project Manager
• Someone with one of the following sales backgrounds would be beneficial; HVAC, Service Sales, Controls, Industrial Controls, Building Automation.
• Knowledge in building automation is beneficial.
