Position Summary


As a Welding Sales Representative, you’ll play a critical role in driving revenue growth by connecting potential clients with the specialized welding and consulting services offered by WJMG. 

This position focuses on promoting our top-tier offerings—including forensic welding, failure analysis, expert witness testimony, and custom welding services—to meet the needs of high-demand industries. Your responsibilities will include developing relationships, identifying opportunities, and closing deals that showcase our industry expertise.


Responsibilities


  • Customer Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients in assigned territories. Understand their welding needs and challenges to provide tailored solutions.
  • Cold Calling & Prospecting: Identify and engage with potential customers to grow your book of business, introducing them to our core services including but not limited to: forensic welding, expert witness testimony, failure analysis and custom welding.
  • Sales Presentations: Deliver hands-on, engaging presentations that highlight our expertise and technical ability.
  • Quotation & Bid Preparation: Prepare accurate and detailed quotations and proposals that meet customer requirements.
  • On-Site Consultations: Visit customer facilities to assess their welding operations, troubleshoot issues, and recommend upgrades to equipment or processes.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify sales opportunities.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and performance metrics to support business growth.


Qualifications


  • Familiarity with welding processes, structural engineering, or failure analysis is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and provide exceptional service.
  • Proven experience in sales, including prospecting, lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Technical certifications or experience in forensic welding or related fields are a plus.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with a focus on solution-based selling.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
