Reporting to the Vice President, the Sales Manager or Sr. Manager (DOE) will lead and motivate an inside sales/negotiation team. The primary functions of this role will be overseeing daily operations, improving and developing sales strategies, and ensuring that productivity and execution targets are exceeded. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to foster a high-performance call-center based sales culture.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


  • Coaching: Daily coaching (individual and group) to support the MD7 value of Continuous Improvement and foster ownership of this value at an individual level.
  • Performance Management : Analyze sales data and metrics to assess performance against targets; identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Goal Setting: Establish clear and achievable sales expectations for the department while also stretching the team to achieve new levels of performance; regularly communicate these goals to the team. Work closely with sales representatives to provide insights, resources, and support in achieving their individual and team targets.
  • Training & Development: Identify training needs and facilitate development opportunities to enhance sales skills and product knowledge at an individual and team level. Expand/develop new hire training.
  • Growth: Create a culture that fosters the growth and development of leaders within the team.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting sales performance, challenges, and opportunities for growth.


OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Market Analysis: Conduct research on market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies.
  • Cross-Departmental Liaison: Collaborate with support teams to ensure alignment of sales initiatives and company strategies.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in sales management or a related leadership role, specifically experience managing large teams in a high-volume call-center environment (minimum 5 years)
  • Documented track record of achieving and exceeding targets as the leader of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multiple teams
  • Ability to motivate and inspire others with and without direct authority
  • Proficient skill level with computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office (including Word, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Ability to travel at least 20% of the time
