Position Summary:
The OEM Sales Representative will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and developing new OEM business opportunities while expanding relationships with existing clients. This role requires a strategic sales professional with a strong background in custom-engineered electronic components and a proven track record in business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and revenue objectives.
- Analyze market needs and collaborate with the engineering team to enhance product offerings.
- Manage all phases of the sales cycle, including prospecting, qualifying, presenting, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Develop and maintain account and territory plans to ensure sustainable growth.
- Acquire new OEM clients and increase sales volume with existing customers.
- Provide regular reports on account status, projects, and key initiatives to sales management.
- Offer insights on product design and development based on customer feedback.
- Ensure timely completion of administrative responsibilities, including forecasting and expense reporting.
- Stay up to date with company products and actively participate in training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience with a focus on technology sales .
- Experience with custom-engineered/engineered-to-build products .
- Industry knowledge of battery technology, DC-DC converters, power supplies, and backup power systems .
- Knowledge of UL standards is preferred.
- Strong understanding of custom-engineered electronic components .
- Proven track record in OEM product sales , including established industry contacts.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization, from operations to C-suite executives.
- Must be able to travel as required .
