Job Title: Director - RN Critical Care
Location: Wilson, NC (Apprx 80mi from Durham, NC)
Position Type: Permanent
Based Salary: Up to $124,000 + Benefit's and other perks
Position Overview:
- The Director of Critical Care is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Critical Care Unit (CCU) to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
- This role manages clinical and administrative functions, including staffing, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives.
- The Director collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes, streamline workflows, and uphold hospital policies and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and management for the Critical Care Unit, ensuring effective clinical operations and quality patient care.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and budget management to maintain efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state/federal regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture within the unit.
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and hospital leadership to implement best practices in critical care.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient safety and quality of care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) (Required).
- Current RN licensure in North Carolina or Multistate Compact License (Required).
- 5+ years of managerial experience in acute/critical care.
- Proven ability to drive quality improvement initiatives and foster a culture of excellence in patient care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and critical care best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
