Role Description
- The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving new business opportunities, generating leads, and securing new client partnerships
- The primary focus of this role is to bring in new logos to the company by identifying potential clients, engaging them, and converting them into long-term partners
- The Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a crucial role in driving the company's growth and broadening the company's market reach
- This role demands a strategic thinker with the ability to drive business growth through innovative and effective sales techniques
- The candidate must be proactive and results-driven individual with a strong understanding of the market and excellent interpersonal skills
- This role will be instrumental in identifying market opportunities, fostering relationships, and creating long-term value for the company
Job Responsibilities
- Utilize various lead generation techniques such as cold calling, email campaigns, social media outreach, and attending industry events
- Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships and services
- Manage and execute the entire sales process from initial contact to closing the deal
- Deliver compelling presentations and proposals that highlight the company's products/services and their benefits
- Prepare and deliver sales reports, pipeline updates, and forecasts to senior management/Leadership
- Proactively identify business development opportunities for your existing client engagements
- Partner with customer success teams to ensure a smooth transition and onboarding of new clients
- Set and achieve ambitious sales targets and KPIs, including new client acquisition, revenue growth, and market penetration
- Develop and implement strategies for retaining and growing client relationships to ensure long-term business success
- Maintain a deep understanding of the company's products/services and their unique selling points
- Continuously refine and improve the business development strategy to ensure alignment with company goals

Required Educational Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
- 7 – 10 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably in the Analytical and consulting industry
- Experience working with Technology/ Pharma/ Retail client is an added advantage
- Strong understanding of sales processes and techniques
- Established network of contacts and potential clients
- Familiarity with lead generation tools
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
