Job Title: Sr. Structural Engineer

Location of job: Rochester, NY

Salary range: $120k - $140k – Negotiable DOE

Relocation: Yes, very open to it. Lump sum.

Hybrid: Yes, 3 days office / 2 days home

Hours: M-Fri 8:00 - 5:00, some flex is allowed.

Travel: 10%, local area mainly.

• Rochester office, 30 people for all disciplines, 12 in the structural group.

Job Description:

A Sr. Structural Engineer responsible for leading the technical execution of projects within the structural discipline. Planning, scheduling, and coordinating detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines. Providing guidance, mentorship, and technical review of work completed by junior level staff as well as providing technical development of proposals and external presentations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Master's Degree preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive structural engineering experience
• Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
• Understands QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering
• Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment, proven ability to lead a team
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required
• Active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
• Ability to travel (10%)
