SUMMARY

A well-known and highly regarded non-profit organization in Phoenix is searching for a Membership Manager. The Membership Manager is responsible for the overall management and growth of our membership base, overseeing new member acquisition, member retention, and member engagement strategies to maximize member value and achieve organizational goals. This role will require the development and execution of comprehensive membership campaigns, as well as monitor membership data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of membership experience including demonstrated experience and knowledge in each of the following areas:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of membership experience including demonstrated experience and knowledge in each of the following areas:

Membership Acquisition:

  • Develop and implement targeted membership recruitment campaigns across various channels (online, email, social media, events) to attract new members. 
  • Identify potential member segments and tailor outreach strategies accordingly. 
  • Manage the membership acquisition process, ensuring timely onboarding and accurate data entry. 

Member Retention:

  • Design and execute member engagement initiatives to foster loyalty and active participation. 
  • Regularly communicate with members through newsletters, email updates, and personalized outreach to highlight member benefits and upcoming events. 
  • Monitor member renewal rates and implement strategies to address re-acquisition of lapsed memberships. 

Membership Benefits Management:

  • Evaluate the existing membership benefits program to ensure the value proposition aligns with different membership tiers. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver member-exclusive services and experiences. 

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Track key membership metrics (acquisition, retention, renewal rates) to measure campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Generate comprehensive membership reports for senior management, providing insights into trends and actionable recommendations. 

Membership Events and Programming:

  • Plan and execute member-focused events (networking, educational seminars, social gatherings) to enhance member engagement and community building. 
  • Manage event logistics, registration, and communication with attendees. 

CRM Management:

  • Maintain and update the membership database within the CRM system (Tessitura) to ensure accurate member information and facilitate targeted communication. 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 years of experience managing membership programs, preferably in a non-profit or association setting. 
  • Proven track record of successful membership recruitment and retention strategies. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with members and stakeholders. 
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data management and reporting tools. 
  • Experience with/knowledge of Tessitura extremely helpful
