Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Coordinator to oversee and enhance the quality and regulatory activities within our home care organization. This role involves managing third-party payer authorizations, overseeing referral intake processes, and ensuring compliance with regulations while optimizing business operations.


Essential Functions:

  • Review, edit, and maintain departmental policies and procedures, ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and update strategies for regulatory affairs and quality assurance based on emerging regulations.
  • Ensure all regulated processes and systems are inspection-ready at all times.
  • Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and develop plans for continuous improvement.
  • Implement programs focused on achieving 5-Star status, educating staff, and analyzing survey responses.
  • Facilitate and lead QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement) Committees, ensuring integration of organization-wide initiatives.
  • Analyze performance trends, identify areas for improvement, and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership on regulatory reports, addressing any outliers and ensuring compliance with corrective plans.
  • Manage intake and referral processes, ensuring seamless coordination between teams and clients.
  • Support new hire orientation and perform on-call or weekend duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
  • Experience in community-based healthcare or business operations is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of quality measures and regulatory compliance.
  • 2+ years experience in community-based home care setting.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Expertise in project planning, prioritization, and outcome monitoring.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory standards and Department of Public Health requirements.
  • Knowledge of healthcare terminology, quality metrics, and accreditation standards.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and act on qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
