Apex is currently searching for a Product Owner to support a large manufacturing client in the Plano, TX area. The position is slated as a 12 month contract with potential to extend down the road. This person will be helping with a company wide initiative to upgrade their manufacturing systems. Hours will be Monday-Friday 8-5 in CST with 3-4 days in office each week. Rate is expected around $70-75 an hour W2 depending on experience.

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced IT/Software Product Owner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to manage multiple products and ensure successful execution with the teams. This role involves managing the product backlog, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and creating user stories. The Product Owner will report directly to the Chief Product Owner within the program.

Key Responsibilities:

· Product Management: Oversee the management and execution of 2-3 products, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

· Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it is up-to-date and reflects the needs of the stakeholders.

· Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable user stories.

· Scrum Ceremonies: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

· User Stories: Create and refine user stories, ensuring they are well-defined and understood by the development team.

· Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Chief Product Owner on product progress, risks, and issues.

· Agile Practices: Promote and implement Agile best practices within the team.

· Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the product lifecycle.

· Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the continuous enhancement of product delivery.

Qualifications:

· Experience: Proven experience as a Product Owner in both Agile and Waterfall environments.

· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

· Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Agile Methodologies: In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in managing Scrum ceremonies.

· Driven and Curious: A proactive, go-getter attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow.

· Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

· Business Analysis Background (Preferred): A background in Business Analysis is a significant benefit.

Work Environment:

· On-Site Requirement: This position requires working on-site in Plano, Texas, 3 to 4 days a week.
