Job Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer
Must have facility Mechanical Engineering design experience .
Qualifications: (MEP) industry (Prior MEP experience required).
- PE license
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7+ years in MEP engineering or related field.
- Professional registration with NCEES preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical systems across various industries (mission critical, telecommunications, commercial, etc.).
- Conduct site surveys, field verification, and documentation of existing systems.
- Collaborate with other departments and coordinate mechanical system designs.
- Utilize CAD/REVIT for design documentation and ensure adherence to company standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers.
- Assist in client relationship management and business development.
- Develop project specifications, technical reports, and design concepts.
- Perform energy modeling, code compliance calculations, and various engineering calculations (e.g., load, ventilation, pressure drop).
- Design and size mechanical systems (ductwork, hydronic systems, pumps, HVAC, etc.).
- Review and assist during construction administration, including RFIs, change orders, and site visits.
- Ensure project milestones, design accuracy, and quality control standards are met.
Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office; experience with load and energy analysis software.
- Strong understanding of building codes, LEED, WELL standards, and construction cost estimating.
- Ability to optimize designs for energy efficiency and budget compliance.
Physical Demands: 10% travel required.
