Job Description

One of Insight Global's clients looking for an experienced Sr Electrical Engineer with a Professional Engineer license or EIT to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, engineering, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and enhancement of our Combined Heat and Power (CHP) and Distributed Thermal Plant (DTP) systems.


Position: Sr Electrical Engineer – Electronic System Design

Location: College Park, MD 20742

Salary: $100K-135K

Work Schedule: 5 days onsite – Monday-Friday 8am-5 pm

Start Date : ASAP


Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
  • EPC - (Engineering, Procurement, Construction)
  • 4+ years of experience with electronic circuit design and development
  • Professional Engineer (P. Eng) or EIT (Engineer in Training) where you can obtain a P.E. in 6-12 months **
  • Experience with Low/Medium/High Voltage, Fault Analysis, Load Shedding Design, Capital Projects Feasibility Study, Sub-station Design, Electronic System Design, Electrical Sensors, Electrical Circuits, Control Panels, Engineering Design, Electrical Systems, Turbines, Boilers, and Balance of Plant
  • Experience with industrial turbine, boilers, chillers, or pumps or even within the oil & gas industry. **

Description:

  • The role primarily focuses on the mobilization phase, which includes acquiring all necessary resources and equipment for a newly constructed building.
  • Key responsibilities involve overseeing operational work for electrical and mechanical maintenance of the site.
  • Maintaining, operating, life cycling a power plant.
  • Mechanical electrical assets.
  • Candidate should have hands on experience operating and maintaining industry plant.
  • Responsible from designing site, engineering site, commissioning site.
  • Experience working with technical project management
  • Strong communication and personal time management skills
  • Experience working with classification society rules for electrical systems
  • Strong understanding of Electrical subsystem operation for Turbines, Boilers and Balance of Plant
  • Plant Load shedding control strategy
  • Troubleshooting electrical assemblies
  • Supporting the development of systems from concept to manufacturing
  • Collaborating with other engineers to create necessary designs
  • Collaborate with world-class engineers and leaders to implement product strategies, develop program schedules and milestones, define technology roadmaps, and drive improvements in engineering quality and productivity.
  • Experience working with site inspections, construction supervision, and contract administration
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installation safety
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.


Compensation:

$100,000 to $135,000 per year annual salary.
