We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with experience designing and developing critical mechanisms in high stress, high temperature environments.

- What You'll Be Doing:
- Design, analyze, and optimize next-generation hydrogen generator components and systems.
- Develop thermal-mechanical designs for high-temperature reactor systems, subsystems, and components.
- Perform hand calculations and FEA for heat transfer, stress analysis, and reliability assessments.
- Specify GD&T requirements and perform tolerance analyses to ensure assembly performance.
- Lead the development of complex assembly strategies and coordinate builds.
- Create and maintain detailed CAD models, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to validate designs and improve performance.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering technical growth within the team.
- Travel <10% for supplier qualification and partnership engagement.
- What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering within industrial/commercial settings.
- 5+ years of experience designing for high-temperature or harsh environments.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) for complex mechanical modeling and assembly design.
- Strong experience with thermal-mechanical FEA (ANSYS Workbench preferred).
- Deep understanding of materials for high-temperature applications, including stainless steel and nickel-based alloys.
- We'd be really excited if you have experience with hydrogen, containerized energy systems, and/or complex machinery engineering in harsh environments.
- Familiarity with manufacturing techniques such as welding, machining, and large-scale assemblies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team environment.
