Field Construction Engineer (Piping)
Job Description/Scope of Services
- Responsible for executing the Turnover of all Piping/Mechanical systems and Equipment on Site.
- Checking system boundaries on P&IDs for all definition of Turnover SCCDs/CTOPs.
- Reviewing of contractor Documentation (Pressure test boundaries, As-builts, Material Certificates, etc.)
- Assisting the on-site Construction team with design or Constructability issues.
- Managing and leading system walkdowns and monitoring the master punchlist and coordinating the closing of these punchlists.
- Review of final documentation for handover to Operations.
- Attend daily meetings with construction management company and relevant trades to Coordinate daily completion priorities.
- Review of Contractor flushing and Blowdown plans. Supervision of activities.
- Transitioning to the CQV Team as Mechanical systems are complete and responsible for Equipment Start-up and Commissioning of Utility and Process systems.
Additional Information/Position Overview
The Tank Farm and Solvent Recovery (TFS) project has an opening for a Field Construction Engineer – Tank Farm, Pipe Racks & Solvent Recovery.
Working with the client TFS Construction Manager, TFS Project Manager, and Construction Firm, to execute the Turnover of all Piping/Mechanical systems and Equipment on Site.
The candidate will possess the skills necessary to self-manage tasks, have basic computer skills with working knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and be able to organize electronic files and documents. The candidate will possess excellent soft skills and work as a cohesive team member and be a quick learner. Construction site experience is a plus as the candidate will be working on an active construction site. Safety and site orientation training will be provided. The work environment is office w/cubical near colleges in on-site trailers.
