The Alston is looking to add to its opening management team with a manager that will focus on the Liquor, Beer, Wine and Non-Alcoholic programs and the supporting personnel. This is not a Beverage Director role. This is a management role with a focus on beverage, but based on performance could evolve or shift into a Beverage Director role.
A Beverage Manager plays a crucial role in the overall; operation, overseeing the organization and structure related to all beverages. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications for this role:
Responsibilities
Inventory Management : Oversee the ordering, stocking, and inventory of all beverages to ensure optimal levels are maintained.
Menu Development : Create and implement beverage menus, including seasonal or specialty offerings.
Staff Training : Train and supervise beverage staff on proper service techniques and beverage knowledge.
Supplier Negotiation : Negotiate contracts and pricing, in coordination with The Fifty/50 Food & Beverage Director, with beverage suppliers to secure the best possible products and terms.
Sales Analysis : Monitor and analyze beverage sales data to identify trends and adjust inventory and menu offerings accordingly.
Quality Control : Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to ensure all beverages meet the establishment’s standards.
Equipment Maintenance : Manage the maintenance and repair of beverage equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Education : A relevant degree in Hospitality, Culinary, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience : 4+ years of experience in a Beverage Manager, Wine Director or Beverage Director at a publicly recognized, world class bar concept as defined by a national or international publication
Skills : Strong knowledge of beverage items and ingredients, excellent organizational and leadership skills, and proficiency in point-of-sale systems.
