The Production Coordinator supports the Master Production Scheduler in executing production plans by managing batch ticket creation and production scheduling tasks. Working closely with the Master Production Scheduler, this role ensures that the production team has the necessary resources and information to execute batches efficiently, addressing inventory and material needs proactively.
Key Responsibilities
Batch Ticket Management

• Create batch tickets based on the production schedule determined by the Master Production Scheduler.
• Print batch ticket packets for production and ensure their accuracy and completeness.
• Input batch tickets into the Production Scheduling spreadsheet to maintain clarity and alignment with the Master Production Scheduler's priorities.
• Resize and modify existing batch tickets as needed based on raw material availability or changes in demand

• Conduct raw material shortage checks
• Notify Master Production Scheduler of raw material shortages and note which batches are impacted
• Use guidance from the Master Production Scheduler to determine prioritization of batches/products based on inventory availability and lead times.
• Manage partial drums by allocating them to rework and coordinating with warehouse personnel for movement to production.

• Utilize raw material calculators to check batch requirements for the week and support the Master Production Scheduler in ensuring resources are available.
• Expedite acknowledgment of made-to-order (MTO) requests by verifying raw material availability within 24 hours.

• Collaborate with the Master Production Scheduler, warehouse, and production teams to support the execution of the schedule.
• Ensure timely communication of changes or updates to the production plan as directed by the Master Production Scheduler.
• Proactively address and resolve any issues that may disrupt the production flow.
