We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineer-Power Systems Engineer to be a part of the team in transitioning the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) from Oracle ADMS and OSI SCADA to the General Electric (GE) ADMS platform. This role will focus on ensuring a seamless transition, maintaining system reliability, and enhancing grid management and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical engineering, power distribution, power flow analysis, and electrical systems, coupled with experience in system integration and ADMS platforms.
Key Responsibilities
ADMS Migration and Integration
- Transition the end-to-end migration of the ADMS from Oracle ADMS and OSI SCADA to GE ADMS.
- Develop strategies to integrate GE ADMS with existing grid systems, including power flow models and network topologies.
- Ensure real-time data accuracy and operational readiness by coordinating with field teams during system integration and testing.
Power Systems Analysis and Support
- Conduct power flow analysis and distribution system modeling to ensure the new ADMS meets operational needs.
- Optimize grid performance using GE ADMS tools for load forecasting, fault detection, and voltage regulation.
- Validate the new system’s ability to handle power distribution scenarios, including contingency and emergency situations.
Data Migration and Configuration
- Oversee the migration and validation of network models, historical data, SCADA points, and device configurations to the GE platform.
- Configure the new ADMS to align with operational workflows, control schemes, and reporting requirements.
Training and Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop training materials and deliver hands-on training sessions for operators, engineers, and other stakeholders to familiarize them with the GE ADMS system.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for addressing concerns and troubleshooting issues during the transition.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (HIGHLY preferred).
- Experience in power distribution systems, grid operations, or ADMS implementation.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle ADMS, OSI SCADA, or GE ADMS is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in power flow analysis, grid modeling, and network topology management.
- Proficiency with SCADA systems, RTUs, and field equipment communication protocols.
- Strong knowledge of ADMS functionalities, including outage management, distribution optimization, and voltage control.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
