The Role

As an Estimator – Quantities Takeoff, you will:

• Review contract plans, specifications, and bid items thoroughly.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for assigned bid items.
• Identify special conditions, proposal requirements, and any unusual items.
• Communicate with the Lead Estimator and other team members for bid preparation.
• Solicit subcontractor and supplier quotes, and assist in preparing HCSS comparison sheets and bid schedules.
• Help with proposal preparation, RFIs/RFCs, and D/M/WBE requirements.
• Assist in bid and proposal document preparation for Joint Venture bids.

The Candidate

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years in heavy civil construction, with 3 years in estimating.
• Proficiency in HCSS Heavy Bid, Bluebeam, Excel, Primavera P6, and SmartBid.
• Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player.
• Ability to take direction, ask questions, and proactively seek guidance.
