Job Description

Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain applications using KDB+ to support real-time data processing and analytics.
• Create optimize and maintain Q scripts for high-performance query execution and data analysis.
• Implement data pipelines to ingest clean and store large volumes of structured and unstructured data in KDB+.
• Work closely with Principle Engineer other LOBs Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Monitor troubleshoot and optimize KDB+ infrastructure for performance and reliability.
• Work closely with development operations and analytics teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
• Stay up to date with advancements in KDB+ and related technologies ensuring the adoption of best practices

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with KDB+ and Q programming language including data modeling query optimization and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in handling time-series data and implementing real-time data solutions.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python for automation and integration.
• Familiarity with real time ingestion like Kafka API Microservices
• Familiarity with distributed computing and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP).
• Understanding of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
• Experience with version control tools like Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Familiarity with financial markets or trading systems is a plus.
