Responsibilities:

The firm is seeking a resident engineer on-site for civil-structural related work.

Current projects include an Electric Power Generating Station in Brooklyn, NY where the firm is overseeing the rehabilitation of a large pier including the encasement of piles below the waterline as well as overseeing geotechnical investigations of potential future development site.

Other current project sites include a Generating Station (façade and structural remediation efforts) and power plant (pier and pile cap restoration projects).

The ideal Resident Engineer for these projects may be on-site approximately 2-3 days per week and will oversee the contractor's work as well as coordinating our outside dive inspection consultant.

Additional work includes oversight of construction of large commercial and industrial pre-engineered metal buildings). The balance of the time the candidate may be in the firms offices in North Babylon to assist on other project sites.

Experience:

The ideal candidate should possess a PE (Professional Engineering) education which is preferred however a candidate with EIT (Engineer in Training) and possesses field construction or construction oversight experience, particularly in the civil and/or structural disciplines will be considered.
