Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Generalist to join our growing life sciences company. The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting all areas of human resources, with a focus on talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and organizational development within a dynamic and highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition: Manage recruitment efforts by collaborating with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, create job postings, screen resumes, coordinate interviews, and extend job offers.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, offering guidance and support on workplace issues, conflict resolution, and employee morale.
  • Performance Management: Support the performance review process, including setting goals, tracking performance, and providing feedback to employees and leadership.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Assist in the administration of compensation plans, employee benefits programs, and wellness initiatives, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with industry standards.
  • Training & Development: Support employee training programs, leadership development, and assist in the creation of a continuous learning environment.
  • Compliance & Recordkeeping: Ensure the company adheres to all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, particularly in the highly regulated life sciences field (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, EEOC).
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage the onboarding process for new hires and the offboarding process for exiting employees, including conducting exit interviews and managing documentation.
  • HR Systems & Reporting: Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems, generate reports, and analyze HR metrics to support decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of HR experience, preferably in the life sciences or healthcare industry.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulatory requirements specific to life sciences.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other HR-related software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with biotech or pharmaceutical companies.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations (FDA, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Familiarity with employee training programs and leadership development initiatives.
