Description:

KIC is a small, innovative company specializing in thermal process solutions, including temperature profiling, automated setup, and inspection. Our advanced technologies support electronics manufacturing and semiconductor packaging applications.

We are looking for a motivated and fully bilingual Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide on-site software and hardware installation, testing, and repair of our cutting-edge products. This position requires U.S. citizenship due to extensive travel across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and South America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site installation, testing, and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
  • Train customers on product operation and maintenance.
  • Resolve complex technical problems and escalate issues to engineering or sales when necessary.
  • Support R&D by conducting beta testing, verifying new product functions, and documenting results.
  • Collaborate with sales and service managers to develop and deliver training materials for representatives, distributors, and customers.
  • Assist with creating and editing training and marketing documentation.
  • Provide technical support to sales representatives as needed

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or computer sciences; 3+ years in a software/hardware technical service role with a customer service emphasis
  • Fully bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • US citizenship
  • Strong troubleshooting, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet timelines.

Preferred:

  • Experience with solder reflow equipment, safety standards, and NIST calibration standards is a plus.

Physical and Travel Requirements:

  • Travel required: 50-75% (across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and South America).
  • Physical activity: Frequent standing, walking, bending, and fine manipulation.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs occasionally.
