Key Areas of Responsibility:
The Compensation Specialist will support the administration and data upkeep of the hourly non-exempt workforce, including production and maintenance technicians at the plant. This role focuses on ensuring accurate compensation data, maintaining step progression for hourly employees, and aligning pay practices with organizational and market standards. The specialist will also handle moderately complex compensation issues under general supervision, referring more complex challenges to the manager. Additionally, this role includes administering short-term and long-term incentive programs, collaborating with HR Business Partners and payroll administrators, and assisting with compensation-related benefit inquiries.
- Conducts analysis and interpretation of compensation programs
- Administers and maintains accurate hourly wages for production and maintenance staff, ensuring employees are on the correct step progression using Workday’s step progression functionality.
- Maintains and verifies service dates for hourly employees to ensure alignment with compensation and tenure requirements.
- Populates and maintains Employee Information Validations in Workday for salaried and hourly populations, including data for salaries, base pay, and compensation changes.
- Administer annual salary programs, including incentive payouts, and salary increase programs.
- Analyzes compensation survey data, benchmarks company roles against market trends, and recommends adjustments to maintain competitive pay practices.
- Utilizes Microsoft Excel with advanced formula knowledge to analyze and report on compensation data, create models, and ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborates with HR Business Partners, payroll administrators, and other departments to execute compensation initiatives effectively.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in compensation analysis or administration.
- Solid working knowledge of compensation principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formula knowledge (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables, and conditional formatting).
- Proficiency in Workday, specifically in compensation modules and reporting.
- Ability to handle moderately complex issues and demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills.
