Floating Area(s): Med Surg – 2Oncology, 3Medical, 4Ortho, and 4Surgical
ABOUT THE UNIT(s):
· Number of Beds - 30
· Number of Staff – varies
· Type of staff:
o Day Shift – CNC, RNs, 2-3 PCTs (depends on unit volume)
o Night Shift – CNC, RNs, 1 PCT
· Patient Ratios – 1:5
· Type of equipment – Bladder scanner, Hoyer lift, glucometers, Christie IV vein finder, occasional portable ECG, Welch Allyn Vital Sign Machines, Alaris IV pumps, SCDs, PCA pumps, PAPRs
· EMR - Meditech
