RN MedSurg Tele (7P - 7A)

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend or a minimum of three weekends in a 6-week schedule
• Call Requirements: None
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Handle with Care
• Years of Experience: 1+ years
• Float Requirements: Only during times of low census which is rare. If floated would assist in other units as a sitter or tasker.
Unit Information:
• Number of Beds: 27
• Patient Ratios: 5:1 but could change to 6:1
• Equipment: Tele monitoring, Bladder scans, SCDs, CPAP/BiPAP, Baxter IV pumps, Hoyer lift, PCAs, Doppler, EKG
• EHR: Paragon
•Patient Population e.g. “geriatric, adult, peds, etc.”: Geriatric, adult
Hiring Profile:
• Must Have Skills/Experience: MST experience.
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Experience in med surg, ER, or ICU
• Common Diagnosis/Treatment: GI bleeds, chest pain r/o, bowel resections, stroke, CHF/COPD exacerbations, respiratory failure, UTIs, post-operative total joint
• Personality Fit: Team oriented, positive demeanor, task oriented
• Required Education: Certification/licensure needed to work as an RN in North Carolina.

• Scrub Color: Any solid color.
• Any unacceptable attire: No open toe shoes or casual wear.
