TELE RN must have cardiac exp. Ratio 1:4. Cardiac, CHF. Cardiac drips (Milrinone, Dobutamine (non-titratable).
BLS, ACLS required, EPIC.
Job Summary:
The Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for monitoring and assessing patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. The RN provides specialized care to patients with acute conditions, including those recovering from heart-related procedures, and ensures timely interventions based on telemetry readings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in coordination with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and IV therapy, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to protocols.
- Respond to abnormal heart rhythms, changes in patient condition, and emergencies.
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health, medications, and post-hospitalization care.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other nurses to develop patient-centered care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including vital signs, telemetry readings, and interventions.
- Follow hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications & Skills: - Required: Active RN license (state-specific).
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association).
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in Telemetry, Progressive Care, or Step-Down Units preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to urgent situations effectively.
