Responsibilities:
Functions as a clinical leader or expert in a specific specialty or subspecialty of nursing.
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) coordinates orientation programs, continuing in-service education, and ongoing educational initiatives for the nursing staff.
Collaborates with unit leadership to organize and develop quality assurance projects.
The Clinical Nurse Educator role also requires extensive collaboration and consultation with other nurses and healthcare professionals to advance nursing practice and improve clinical outcomes, emphasizing its interdisciplinary nature.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required

• 2 years of clinical experience in L&D required
• Experience in patient and staff education development and implementation, quality improvement, program development and professional development required

Licenses and Certifications

• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
• RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
