M Health Fairview is looking for a Lead MRI Technologist at Fairview Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN.
This position is eligible for a new hire Sign-on Bonus up to $10,000!!

Imaging Technologists deliver services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.
This position provides leadership and direction to the daily operations of their clinical area. This leader ensures the delivery of high-quality images and services consistent with the core values of the organization and the professional regulatory and accrediting body standards of the department. Helps to ensure operations function at top levels of efficiency and exceeds customer expectations. Demonstrates the ability to coordinate the teamwork of the healthcare team, assigning and directing staff, and overseeing the daily workload to facilitate and coordinate patient exams.
Schedule: The shift length will be 8 hours on the day/evening shift. Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30AM to 4:00PM. Including on-call one night a week and every 5th weekend.

Responsibilities/Job Description:
Maintains patient care
Performs examinations
Identifies relevant data from images accurately
Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
Ensures patient safety and emergency preparedness
Verify patient identification and documentation
Communicate and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of the procedure
Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
Ensures patient data integrity
Accurately completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner
Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving
Work as a team member/leader
Orients, mentors, and assures proper training and complete competency testing of new employees and students
Identifies opportunities for and participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives
Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position
Assures proper cleaning and maintenance of rooms and appropriate supply inventory
Coordinates and integrates services with customers and care partners to provide continuity of high-quality care and service
Performs other duties as assigned
Correctly operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines
Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working properly
Ensures high level of competency among the team members
Accepts new technology as it’s introduced into the facility
Responsible for Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations
As Lead technologist
Coordinates patient care and addresses concerns
Coordinates and plans work assignments with the technologists
Helps promote staff growth, development, and employee engagement
Optimizes productivity through appropriate staffing levels/models
Ensures continuity of care
Establishes standard of practice and patient care

Qualifications:
Required:
Vocational/ Technical training or Associate Degree
1-year experience as a technologist or other management/leadership experience
ARRT Registration
Meet MRI Safety Screen requirements
Preferred:
3 years of experience as a technologist or other management/leadership experience
ARRT MRI certification or successful completion within 18 months of hire
