Job Description
We are seeking a Traveling Wound Care Nurse to provide the best possible care for residents. This position will provide care that will quickly and safely heal various types of wounds, including surgical openings, ulcers, pressure wounds, feeding tube sites and abscesses. The Traveling Wound Care Nurse will access residents’ wounds, create and implement treatment plans, monitor infections and signs of various infections, and clean wounds. The Traveling Wound Nurse will not be assigned to a particular facility, but will provide support to facilities that need temporary assistance until a permanent Wound Nurse has been found or their assistance is no longer needed. This position will be providing support in the Metro and surrounding area. Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are both encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities and Purpose
Provide support to Bridges Metro facilities.
Evaluate patients with wounds and injuries.
Initiate care procedures for managing wounds.
Access wounds as well as create and implement treatment plans.
Desired Experience and Education
Current and unencumbered Oklahoma RN or LPN license.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Two (2) or more years of experience in a Long Term Care environment.
Requirements
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Ability to pass Post Offer/Pre-Employment Screen (POPES), which measures physical abilities.
Excellent and effective communication and leadership skills.
Ability to travel to multiple locations as assigned.
