$2,000 Sign-On Bonus

Monday Friday 8-hour shifts

Your Work Matters How will you make a difference?

As a Forensic Program Therapist, you will play a vital role in our mission to address the bio-psychosocial needs of our patients. This position involves a mental health professional specializing in providing therapy to individuals involved in the legal system. The ideal candidate is required to have a deep understanding of forensic psychology to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and potentially testify in court regarding a patients mental state and risk level.

We are seeking a dedicated individual who can focus on rehabilitation and reducing recidivism while adhering to legal guidelines and ethical considerations within the healthcare setting.

Developing individual treatment plans based on assessment findings, addressing specific needs related to trauma, substance abuse, and mental health issues.
Providing individual and group therapy sessions focused on addressing underlying issues contributing to mental behavior, developing coping mechanisms, anger managements, and improving social skills.
Regularly monitoring patient behavior, identifying potential risks of violence or self-harm, and implementing appropriate safety measures.
Prepare for and prove expert testimony in court proceedings regarding patient evaluations, treatment progress, and mental state when necessary.
Maintain open communication with attorneys, probation officers, and other legal professionals involved in a patients case
Thoroughly documenting all assessments findings, treatment interventions, progress notes, and any significant incidents within the patients file.
Managing a caseload of forensic patients, coordinating with other healthcare providers and ensuring proper discharge planning.

Your Experience Matters What were looking for:

Education & Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology or a clinical-related mental health field preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with a strong focus on forensic psychology is essential; crisis intervention, and treatment skills; and strong clinical assessment skills preferred. Joint Commission experience is preferred
Licensure: Must possess an Illinois State license as a mental health professional (L.C.P. or L.C.S.W.)
Additional Requirements: May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.

Compensation:

This is a full-time role, and the expected compensation range is $62,000 - $68,000 annually with a $2,000 sign-on bonus. Were eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level. Join us as our Forensic Program Therapist.
