General Summary

Performs routine screening mammography procedures, or routine screening and at least two other modalities such as x-ray and EKG.
Duties and Responsibilities

Performs routine screening mammography procedures, or routine screening and at least two other modalities such as x-ray and EKG; Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.
Under the direction of a Team Leader, is responsible for assisting in the training of other technologists, certifying that techs meet competencies.
Maintains department quality assurance programs.
Positions patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedures.
Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
Prepares, maintains and scans appropriate documentation required by the department.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Associates Degree Required

Work Experience:

3 years Relevant experience. Required

Licenses:

Registered Technologist-Mammography - ARRT Upon Hire Required and
Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

Accredited program in radiologic technology and training in mammography procedures. Upon Hire Required
