Work Schedule:
90% FTE, evening/night shift rotation, one in three weekend rotation. Hours are based off operational needs of the department. We offer a competitive starting pay, relevant work experience will be considered, this position also includes a shift/weekend differential. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Be a front-line nursing leader for the Heart and Vascular Progressive Care Surgery Unit to ensure optimum patient care, efficient operations, quality service and sound financial management.
We are seeking a Care Team Leader (CTL) / Charge Nurse :
Direct and lead nursing staff to ensure optimum patient care, efficient operations, quality service and sound financial management.
Facilitate and participate in daily interprofessional rounds.
Continuously assess unit needs by ensuring adequate resources for current and upcoming shifts.
Mentor others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills.
Education :
Preferred – Baccalaureate degree in nursing
Work Experience :
Minimum –
Two (2) years’ experience in an inpatient unit
At least two (2) years of combined work experience and leadership experience may be considered in lieu of two (2) years’ experience in an inpatient unit.
Preferred –
Three (3) years’ experience in an acute care inpatient unit.
Relevant RN experience with department-specific patient population
Licenses and Certifications :
Minimum –
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact
Current CPR/BLS certification
Preferred – National certification n relevant specialty
