The Role
As the Nurse Manager at Alsana, you will be responsible for the daily oversight and management of client services at Alsana Residential, PHP and IOP Programs. This position includes work in the areas of staff development, client admissions and discharges, medication management, medical procedure oversight, medical documentation review and oversight, on-going clinical staff supervision, and training and compliance. This position requires knowledge of team building and an ability to work with others to ensure delivery of safe and effective clinical services.
Responsibilities
Manages, monitors, and administers medications as per Alsana Policy and supervise nursing team’s compliance with all medication administration.
Ensures all medication, verification, and reconciliation on admission, throughout the length of stay, and discharge.
Co-Sign all LVN/LPN nursing notes and assessments.
Ensures all allergies of each client are in the MAR and the chart.
Audits and monitors all controlled substances including recording of information.
Oversees all nursing policy and procedures regarding plan of care, infection control, joint commission standards, and KPIs.
Communicates pertinent nursing updates to the multi-disciplinary team daily.
Participates in treatment team meetings and contributes to the client care plan on a weekly basis.
Provides and ensures a nurse during all doctor sessions.
Serves as a liaison between physicians and the clients to answer questions about medication changes, physician appointments, and health related issues in a language the client can understand.
Complete/delegate daily communication log/client and general information updates
Manage the nursing schedule.
Assists People Operations with interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new nursing staff.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and a current and active license as a Registered Nurse
Previous experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred.
Supervisory experience is preferred.
Previous experience as a Charge Nurse or Nurse Manager for a 24hr treatment center is a plus.
Must have a current CPR certification.
