As a Supervisor of Lab Operations at Sollis Health you will play an important role in our patient's care by managing our moderately complex labs in your region that are CLIA certified. Our in-house lab function is critical to our success in providing our members/patients with timely and accurate results that help our providers determine a diagnosis and treat accordingly. This position reports to the region's Manager of Operations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee Sollis' moderate complex lab operations in your region including but not limited to, new lab setup, vendor management, training and policies.
Manages new lab setup including; submitting initial CLIA applications, ordering new lab equipment and lab supplies, lab implementation, setting up new lab vendor accounts, etc.
Maintaining current CLIA Certifications. (Updating facility addresses, change in Lab Directors, add/remove lab testing, updating personnel, preparing for State Lab Survey Inspection)
Maintain personnel files for training in partnership with the staff's manager and Technical Consultant
Complete Initial Training Checklists
Perform 6-month Competency Evaluation
Perform annual Competency Evaluations
Plans and implements an effective departmental orientation and provides in-service training to employees on proper use of equipment.
Partner with our Technical Lab Consultants to adhere to state and federal laws in all Sollis locations under CLIA
Monitor supplies inventory and place orders accordingly
Monitor performance and turnaround time for lab results creating new processes and procedures as needed to provide a high-quality patient experience.
Oversee processes for specimen handling and Lab Quality Assurance program such as, proper identification on specimen, label the specimen with all required information and handle the specimen according to Sollis Health guidelines as needed.
Run lab according to CLIA regulations and Sollis polices.
API Enrollment for new and current sites.
Completing precision/accuracy, verification, and correlation testing for required lab equipment
Maintain Quality Control according to manufacturer guidelines
Maintain Quality Assurance according to CLIA guidelines
Collect lab specimens for both Sollis' clinic and at home services working a moderate complex lab operations
Process lab samples both in house according to manufacturer's instructions and according to laboratory protocol
Partner with external vendors as needed to process lab samples
Run lab tests ordered by the medical team or established standing protocols including specimen collection, proper identification on specimen, label the specimen with all required information and handle the specimen according to Sollis Health guidelines as needed
Monitor performance and turnaround time for lab results and escalating delays as needed
Perform related duties, as needed
Experience We believe extraordinary people come from a variety of backgrounds, but ideally, we would expect that you have:
High School diploma or GED required, Associate's degree or greater strongly preferred
3+ years of previous lab and quality work under a CLIA certified lab required
Certificate of completion from an accredited Medical Assistant Program strongly preferred
Outstanding customer service skills and a high level of professionalism required.
Comfortable interfacing with high profile clientele

Compensation
Range: $32 per hour
This is the range of pay for Northern California candidates only. Sollis is a multi-state employer and this rate/range may not reflect the pay for positions that are performed solely in localities outside of this location. Furthermore, actual pay is dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, location, education, etc.
