Job Description
*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including clinics, hospitals, and long-term care facilities. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in supporting registered nurses and physicians while ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.

"Graduate from an approved school of nursing with a certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Must be licensed in the state of employment. A valid driver's license is required".


Primary shift TBD 13 week initial duration Auto offer 36 hour guarantee, but expected to have open availability to work per the CoreCivic Scheduling Policy

*Duties*
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
* Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
* Assist with specimen collection processing and laboratory tests.
* Provide care for patients with infectious diseases, adhering to infection control protocols.
* Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Support ophthalmology procedures as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
* Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness practices.
* Participate in travel nursing assignments when required, adapting to various clinical environments.
* Perform basic life support (BLS) as necessary during emergencies.
* Lift and move patients safely while following proper techniques to prevent injury.

*Qualifications*
* Current LPN license in the state of practice.
* Experience with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems is preferred.
* Knowledge of specimen collection processing and laboratory procedures is a plus.
* Familiarity with infection control practices and basic life support certification is required.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
* Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
* Previous experience in travel nursing or ophthalmology settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
