Job Description
*Community Options, Inc.* is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.

We are in search of an experienced *Psychological Associate* in *Rockville, MD. *The Psychological Associate will focus on developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized behavior intervention plans for residents with diverse behavioral and psychological needs. The Psychological Associate will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including group home staff and healthcare professionals, to ensure the highest level of care is provided.

_Starting pay is $90,000/annually _

*Responsibilities*
* Develop, implement, and monitor behavior plans for adults in group homes
* Tailor each plan to address specific behavioral needs while ensuring goals are clear, measurable, and achievable
* Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments to identify patterns, triggers, and the underlying causes of behaviors
* Utilize various assessment tools and methodologies to inform plan development
* Work with group home staff, case managers, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective plan implementation
* Provide training and support to staff to ensure consistent execution of behavior strategies
* Assist in crisis situations by providing guidance on de-escalation and managing challenging behaviors
* Offer immediate interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and staff
* Monitor and document residents' progress in relation to behavior plans
* Make adjustments to plans as needed based on observed outcomes and ongoing assessments
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, including behavioral assessments, progress reports, behavior plans, and other required documentation
* Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards
* Advocate for the needs and rights of residents, ensuring they receive the necessary therapeutic services
* Work closely with the team to access additional resources as necessary
* Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
* Employee must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation
* Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing

*Minimum Requirements*
* Master’s degree in psychology, Behavioral Science, or a related field
* Licensure: Psychological Associate certification or licensure in the state of MD (applicable to various states)
* Minimum of one year of experience working with adults in group home settings or with individuals with developmental, emotional, or behavioral challenges
* Experience in behavior assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of behavior interventions
* Knowledge of mental health disorders, developmental disabilities, and behavioral challenges commonly seen in residential care settings
* Strong understanding of behavioral interventions and evidence-based therapy techniques
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to conduct behavioral assessments and develop individualized behavior plans
* Crisis management and de-escalation skills
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
* Empathetic, patient, and professional approach when working with vulnerable individuals
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
* Ability to maintain professional boundaries while building supportive relationships with residents and staff
