Theprimary purpose of this role is to assist the Credit Manager develop and managean effective credit review and collections function for the North Americanregion which currently includes a customer base in USA, Canada and Mexico. Asecondary purpose is to build positive customer relations and loyalty throughexceptional levels of customer service. TheCredit & Collections Supervisor is a key member of the customer managementteam working closely with sales, customer service and operations.
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers to submit for review by management
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies with customer accounts - including reconciling major customer accounts consisting of a large number of transactional data
  • Assist Credit Manager hire and manage staff and maintain a positive working environment for the team;
    Assist in continuously improving credit and collections procedures and controls.
  • Liaise with multiple functions of the business including sales and operations to ensure customer orders are managed and released with credit limits;
  • Proactively manage potential credit issues, including customer non-payment and customer order holds.
  • Manage upwards to key contacts to ensure expectations are clear and deliverable deadlines are agreed upon and met.
  • Manage team of collectors to ensure team tasks are completed and any issues and flagged in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS Degree required
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to improve the organization's internal processes and controls
  • Able to work with, and influence, cross-departmental team utilizing strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, minimally supervised environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 ERP system is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Can do attitude - willing to pitch in and help where needed
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience including xlookups, vlookups, and pivot tables
  • Minimum 5 years of Credit and Collections, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with customer claims including returns, pricing issues, shortages etc.
  • Must be comfortable working with, and paying attention to details
  • Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information
  • Problem solver with strong analytical skills
