About the Role
Monks is seeking an experienced Account Director, Social with a strong background in the automotive industry to join our expanding Strategy & Planning team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving successful social media marketing initiatives for our prestigious automotive clients, building and sustaining senior-level client relationships, and overseeing the social process for multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior-level clients in the automotive industry, becoming their trusted partner for organic social media strategy, creative execution, and production.
- Lead the development and execution of integrated and organic-focused social media strategies and campaigns, ensuring alignment with clients' business objectives and marketing goals
- Leverage a deep understanding of the racing/sports industry and audience preferences to inform creative concepts, campaigns, and storytelling that resonate with enthusiasts
- Coordinate the production process for multiple social media projects across international offices, using data and KPIs to optimize performance and ensure impactful results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, data, strategy and production departments, to produce exceptional work that exceeds client expectations and embraces innovation.
- Demonstrate strong time management and communication skills to effectively oversee multiple complex projects while keeping all stakeholders informed and aligned.
- Oversee financial processes, including budgets, revenue tracking, and internal reporting, ensuring profitability and resource optimization.
- Maintain a strong presence with clients in the EST time zone, fostering deep relationships and understanding their unique needs, with flexibility to travel as required.
About You - 6-8 years of experience in social media account management, with a strong emphasis on organic social strategy, preferably within a marketing agency, consultancy, or client-side studio.
- Proven expertise in managing and growing senior-level client relationships, especially within the automotive or sports/racing industries.
- A passion for racing or extensive knowledge of motorsports, with the ability to translate this enthusiasm into engaging social media strategies that connect with audiences. - Deep understanding of the automotive market, motorsports culture, and industry trends, with the ability to leverage insights for campaign development.
- Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to inspire cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality work.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the agility to adapt to change and navigate ambiguity.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate creative concepts, strategies, and data-driven insights to stakeholders.
- Enthusiastic about social media and staying on top of the latest trends, tools, and best practices.
- Willingness to collaborate in the EST time zone and travel as needed to support client relationships and project execution.

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range.
