Job Responsibilities: PURPOSE OF POSITION: To provide assistance to the Purchasing Department Manager in a way that supports the Magna Charter, Corporate Constitution, customers, investors, and employees. He/she will support the Team Leaders and Tool Crib Employees by providing guidance and tools they need in order to be safe and productive. Tool Crib Supervisor will also be responsible for forecasting, receiving and releasing of production items such as sealers, lubes, media etc. The list of items to be supplied by purchasing.
RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY: The Tool Crib Supervisor is responsible for all employee's safety and well-being overall development and supervision of Team Leaders and Team Members, health and safety, quality, customer cost, productivity, and ergonomic issues through using the company policies and procedures and the Magna Employee's Charter as a guideline.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS: - Schedule, supervise, coordinate, and direct the activities of employees to ensure that our standards are met. Monitor throughout day and make adjustments to support operations
- Plan and direct the utilization and use of all equipment and manpower to achieve the most effective results
- Establish and maintain effective communications with all other departments as well as conduct all business activities in a professional manner
- Ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained in the tool crib
- Develop and facilitate on-the-job employee training -encourages training and development.
- Responsible for accurate and timely monitoring and approval of employees' schedules through E-time.
Knowledge/Work experience - High School Diploma or GED required,
- Computer skills; Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, previous leadership role preferred. Experience in purchasing or related field or equivalent training in relevant fields.minimum 5 years
