A long-standing organization in New Jersey is currently seeking a Drug & Alcohol Audit Coordinator to assist the Human Resources Department with managing and ensuring compliance for new hires in safety-sensitive positions.
Position Overview:
- Collecting and reviewing forms for accuracy, obtaining necessary information from previous employers, and following up within a specific period of time
- Preparing audit documentation, maintaining records, and generating monthly compliance reports
- Coordinating mock audits and performing other related tasks as needed
- File maintenance in accordance with federal regulations
Responsibilities will include ?m anaging the daily activities of the drug & alcohol previous employer release of information form to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, in addition to:
- Carefully reviewing the release of information form for errors, signature, and incomplete information
- Obtaining the information requested in the release of information form from the final applicant's previous employer by sending the form via email or certified mail, before the employee first perform safety-sensitive functions
- Managing the daily activities of the drug & alcohol previous employer release of information form to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Preparing audit documentation packages for previous employer release of information forms as it relates to drug and alcohol audit
- Preparing monthly reports of all drug and alcohol release forms collected to ensure all new hires have been accounted for
- Preparing monthly reports of all drug and alcohol and testing status for each federal agency
- Maintaining inactive-cabinet files and record keeping in compliance with record management policies, Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace policies and all federal regulations
- Reviewing previous employer verification files and documentation regularly to ensure that files are complete, secure and maintained in accordance with federal regulations
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience as a HR Coordinator, Onboarding Coordinator, Recruitment Coordinator, Compliance Coordinator, HR Administrative Assistant, and/or related role
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Previous experience with Administrative functions
- Computer savvy
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- Audit experience and familiarity with preparing audit reports
