**Title:** Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist

**Facility:** Remote (Must reside in the state of Florida)

**Responsibilities:**

+ Professional Registered Nurse with sound clinical knowledge and strong critical thinking skills.

+ This position is accountable for the integrity and accuracy of advanced practice clinical documentation through concurrent interaction with providers and other members of the healthcare team.

+ Ensures clinical documentation integrity through proficient delivery of the Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) program workflows, including obtaining appropriate provider diagnoses documentation into the medical record in order to achieve legitimate code assignment and accurate reporting of the patient's condition and care provided.

+ Contributes to process improvement efforts by designing, developing, implementing and supporting the CDI programs reporting and analytics.

+ Collaborates with the physician advisor to achieve CDI program goals and accurate documentation representation of medical necessity for appropriate patient status.

+ Promotes the capture of clinical severity to support the level of service rendered to relevant patient populations.

+ The CDI Specialist is required to have clinical expertise and extensive knowledge of complex disease processes with broad clinical experience in an inpatient setting.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

**Certification & Licensure:**

+ Required RN (Registered Nurse)

+ Preferred CCDS Certification (Clinical Documentation)

+ Preferred CCS Certification (Coding)

+ Preferred CPC Certification (Coding)

**Education:**

+ Required Associates in Nursing

+ Preferred Bachelors In Nursing

+ Preferred Bachelors in Business Administration

+ Preferred Bachelors Hospital Management

**Experience:**

+ Required 2 years Acute Care RN experience within the past 5 years

**Status:** Full Time, Exempt: Yes

**Shift Hours:** 8:00AM - 4:30PM (Flexible)
