Job Summary and Qualifications

The AVP Strategic Accounts is responsible for managing all aspects of the HealthTrust customer experience with special focus on developing and strengthening this key strategic relationship. Requires a seasoned healthcare supply chain professional with ability to interface at the highest c-suite level of member companies.

What you will do in this role:

  • Directs and develops a team of expert Account Directors in the day-to-day activities of account management. Responsibilities include:
  • Development of customer relationships with assigned member, including conducting regular business reviews with c-suite executives to communicate HPG benefits, programs, and services.
  • Measure and evaluate member compliance, work with members to maximize their use of HealthTrust contracts, provide trending information to HPG leadership team.
  • Enhancing communication to members regarding the implementation of new contracts and vendor conversions.
  • Customer problem resolution including vendor performance, compliance issues, and overall complaints and concerns.
  • Developing and enhancing reporting and measurement tools available to members
  • Monitor and manage ongoing training and development of the Account Directors
  • Oversees the Account Directors responsible for the detailed process of contract implementation with each new acute care facility or group member. Implementation includes:
  • Managing a detailed contract conversion plan that includes target dates and completion expectations
  • Management of service from all contracted vendors with special emphasis on coordination of distribution of product
  • Conducting orientation with all appropriate facility departments and personnel, frequently including senior leadership teams, doctors and nurses
  • Ensure a smooth and on-schedule conversion of all new members to HPG.
  • Assists National Agreements when they need member specific information or involvement, and provides overall direction during contract negotiations regarding contract structure and implementation.
  • Directs the production of various reports required to support members and enhance contract compliance, such as Sales Trend, LOC Savings, Target Compliance. Responsible for ensuring that members receive and review these reports on a regular basis.
  • Required to help direct the overall system solutions for HPG. Including ongoing problem resolution and development of our all member facing systems, including the members website, electronic catalogs, electronic LOC systems, spend analytics etc. Provides leadership on numerous IT projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 10+ years work experience Hospital Supply Chain experience, required
  • 3+ years of management experience, required
  • Requires the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to interact with high-level officials internally with HPG or any HPG members
