Position Senior Commercial Credit Analyst

Description The
Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for investigation and analysis of the financial condition of commercial borrowers.
Key responsibilities include meeting/exceeding quality evaluations, maintaining a high level of service quality, producing accurate reporting to lenders and document prep area, and follow lending policies and guidelines. Duties include managing a team of credit analysts/underwriters to produce a timely and high-quality credit approval memorandum, adhering to the Bank's credit policies and procedures.
Primary Duties:
- Responsible for underwriting the more complicated commercial loan requests and for providing leadership, support and guidance to the underwriting team.
- Provide review of new credits, all existing commercial loans and lines of credit, including loan renewals and modifications, as part of an ongoing loan review program.
- Prepare Credit Approval Memorandums consisting of thorough analysis of new and renewing commercial loans as well as annual reviews for presentation to appropriate credit approval authority.
- Produce spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions for commercial banking officers.
- Spread and analyze financial statements and tax returns.
- Provide technical advice and assistance to commercial loan officers and other staff members as needed.
- Assist in the due diligence process as needed to close commercial loans.
- Communicate with borrowers, accountants, management and bank staff as necessary for credit investigations.
- Make recommendations for appropriate risk ratings.
- Perform other loan review assignments as required.
- Produce reports as required for management, loan officers and/or committees.
- Provide internal review of all related appraisals.
Position Requirements Educational and experience requirements include: - Bachelor's degree in finance or an equivalent, advanced credit experience preferred
- 4+ years relevant experience in credit evaluation and administrative process
- Advanced knowledge of banking customer service principles and processes
- Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication and listening skills
- Strong computer and banking software to include advanced experience with Word and Excel
- Proven ability to stay current with and comply with industry regulations
