Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Business Services Specialist (BSS) provides comprehensive support to team members across multiple financial business processes, while continuously identifying and addressing inefficiencies. Using data-driven insights, the BSS modifies and enhances SOPs by collaborating with business owners to verify and refine processes. With foundational knowledge of all financial processes and systems, the BSS serves as the primary point of contact for areas such as Accounting, Accounts Payable, Workday Operations, Expenses, Procurement, and Reporting. The role also involves ensuring compliance with internal audit controls and maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesActs as a subject matter expert and liaison for requisition, purchase order, receiving, Workday, and accounting inquiries.Assists suppliers by ensuring accurate vendor setup, maintaining vendor records, and managing tasks like purchase order closures and catalog item creation.Responds to invoice-related and invoice settlement inquiries from both internal team members and external stakeholders.Addresses transactional-level inquiries resulting from financial statement reviews, with a focus on operational transactions such as expense reports and invoices.Runs daily expense report settlements, troubleshooting and resolving errors promptly.Ensures tasks are completed wholly and accurately in compliance with our internal audit controls.Analyzes patterns in requests received through the Business Services Portal to identify opportunities for process optimization.Identifies, proposes, and executes process improvements, working cross-functionally to implement solutions.Provides ongoing training and feedback to team members to reduce process exceptions and enhance efficiency.Designs and implements training materials and knowledge documentation for Corporate and field Club team members.Minimum Required Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Strong technical aptitude with the ability to access and navigate multiple applications to provide effective support.Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and multitasking capabilities.Education:Bachelor's Degree in a related field.Years of Experience:1 to 2 years of experience in a professional business environment.Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:n/aPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with ServiceNow or Workday ERP systems.Background in accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, or procurement.Experience with process improvement initiatives.PayThis is an hourly position with wages starting at $23.50 and pays up to $31.75, based on experience and qualifications.BenefitsAll team members receive the following benefits while working for Life Time:A fully subsidized membershipDiscounts on Life Time products and services401(k) retirement savings plan with company discretionary match (21 years of age and older)Training and professional developmentPaid sick leave where required by lawFull-time Team Members are eligible for additional benefits, including:Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverageShort term and long term disability insuranceLife insurancePre-tax flexible spending and dependent care plansParental leave and adoption assistancePaid time off, including 5 to 20 vacation days per calendar year (based on tenure) and paid sick leaveDeferred compensation plan, if the team member meets the required income thresholdLife Time is a place for everyone.
