Job Description

A law firm seeks an Associate Litigation Attorney to join their team in Seattle, Washington. This full-time, hybrid position is ideal for an attorney with at least three years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial litigation, although candidates with other litigation backgrounds such as insurance defense are encouraged to apply. The role involves working with a dynamic litigation team on business disputes, intellectual property matters, and administrative hearings. Candidates will have significant opportunities for trial work and must be comfortable managing a diverse caseload. Strong communication, organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset are essential.Duties Manage and support litigation cases involving business disputes, IP infringement, and administrative hearings.Draft legal motions, pleadings, and other court documents.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and court proceedings.Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on complex legal matters.Provide clear and concise communication with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.Maintain case files, organize documentation, and ensure all legal procedures are followed.Adapt to changing priorities and deadlines while working independently on multiple cases.Requirements A minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation, with a preference for commercial litigation experience.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Experience conducting legal research and drafting legal documents.Ability to represent clients effectively in depositions and court hearings.Attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills.Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus but not required.Must be admitted to the Washington State Bar or eligible for admission.Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications Active membership in the Washington State Bar is required.Skills In-depth knowledge of legal procedures and litigation practices.Exceptional legal writing and research abilities.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Ability to adapt to and manage changing priorities effectively.Collaborative mindset with the ability to work within a team environment.Prior experience in the cannabis industry is a plus.A hybrid work environment with some office attendance is required.Opportunities for significant trial experience and professional growth.#J-18808-Ljbffr
