PRACTICE AREAS: Energy & Public Utility, Financial ServicesJOB TYPE: In-House Description:Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Counsel / Senior Counsel through September 29th at 11:59 p.m.Responsibilities:The Counsel/Senior Counsel position has significant responsibility for the provision of legal services to multiple internal clients focusing on an assigned region as well as headquarters support teams based in Houston, Texas.The position may, from time to time, be called upon to support compliance counsel supporting other regions globally.Assist with complex confidential business transactions in international jurisdictions in collaboration with in-country Chevron counsel and other stakeholders.Provide legal expertise in global antibribery and anti-money laundering laws.Support and provide practical legal advice to compliance organizations preferably in the oil & gas sector.Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to be team-oriented and client-focused.Exhibit diplomacy, tact, and sensitivity to cultural diversity.Provide business-focused and cost-efficient advice in a challenging operating and legal environment.Education / Certifications:J.D. from an accredited US University.Bar Admission in Texas.Minimum Requirements:Must have a minimum of 7 years practice experience (as in-house or law firm counsel) with some direct experience advising on anti-bribery/anti-corruption and anti-money laundering laws.Preferred Qualifications:Significant legal experience and expertise in global antibribery and anti-money laundering laws.Experience with supporting and providing practical legal advice to compliance organizations preferably in the oil & gas sector.Good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to be team-oriented and client-focused.Demonstrate diplomacy, tact, and sensitivity to cultural diversity.#J-18808-Ljbffr
