Position Summary
Stock incoming received material as well as pick and issue material for jobs and back orders that are released for Production. Maintain stockroom on-hand accuracy at all times and ensure material movement is completed in an efficient and timely manner in a safe environment.
Responsibilities:
Principle Duties
- Pull material from the stockroom using handheld scanners according to the jobs that are released and issue the material to production
- Accurately and quickly complete all required transactions (manual and electronic) including Back Orders, Material Move Requests, and Stocking Tickets.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom
- Stock incoming material in the proper location
- Reviews locations and move materials utilizing MRP software in the computer
- Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through cycle counts or other inventory accuracy activities
- Maintain flexibility and willingness to help in other areas as required including but not limited to, receiving, shipping or the warehouse
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Must have good organizational skills and be able to handle multiple tasks in a deadline driven work environment
- Sufficient computer skills with MS office and inventory software
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
- Must be quality minded and detail oriented
- Must be able to work overtime, including weekends, peak workload periods, holidays, and before/during/after the annual physical inventory as business conditions require
- 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing stockroom or order fulfillment environment
Education - High School degree or equivalent
Physical Requirements
Must be able to walk, sit, stand for long periods, keyboard, bend, stoop, crouch, reach overhead, climb stairs, read, speak and write English fluently, and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
