JOB SUMMARY: The Inventory Control Coordinator is based in Frisco Headquarters and is the primary liaison with several distribution centers to insure inventory levels and activity are properly reflected in our JD Edwards system and other systems (client) as required. This person ensures that all inventory adjustments are properly and timely recorded and that the distribution centers properly report inventory activity (verifying proper codes, inventory rotations, transfer forms processed, transition of materials, etc.) Ensures that QCD and GSF objectives for customer satisfaction are met.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure the movement of inventory to customers, transfers, or other actions are properly reflected in all accounting and inventory systems
  • Monitors inventory levels, reviewing and adjusting open orders to ensure maintenance of optimal inventory levels.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with vendors and carriers to resolve product and transportation issues and problems.
  • Resolve discrepancies on a daily basis between customer systems and our JD Edwards system.
  • Gathers, reviews, and disseminates new product information and product changes to internal departments to ensure accurate product information.
  • Performs other related or assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:

Education/Certification:

AA degree in materials/logistics management, business math, business administration or communications from an accredited vocational, technical, or community college preferred, but not required.

Experience:

3 to 6 years of relevant work experience, such as inventory management, purchasing, transportation, logistics, shipping and receiving in an automated environment.
